“Caring Workspaces” project, led by Postane and Memory Center, is ongoing!
Caring Workspaces is a pilot project that aims to create inclusive, diverse and safe workspaces for those working in the fields of civil society and social benefit. The project is supported by the RESISTIRÉ project funded by the EU Horizon 2020 Program.
What is the “Caring” Approach?
Caring workspaces provide physically inclusive workspaces, ensure the safety of working conditions and employee rights, create policies and programs to ensure employee well-being and implement egalitarian and participatory governance mechanisms. The caring approach points at the gendered division of roles in caregiving and receiving and tries to prevent the inequalities created by it. It brings the peripheralized care needs to the center and considers them as a part of collective responsibility.
